UK North Sea supply chain worth £27bn

Oil & Gas UK’s 2013 Economic Report has highlighted how the supply chain to the North sea oil and gas industry is generates sales of £27bn a year.

The report is a healthy reflection of the North Sea, which has been subject to insecurities over its ability to maintain investment. However, with Government support, business is as good as ever and the UK oil and gas supply chain is reaping the benefits.

The report also shows supply chain exports are now up to £7bn, that the UK is still considered a world leader in subsea engineering which is worth £9 billion a year and holds 45 per cent of that global market, and well services companies are generating revenues of almost £2 billion a year.
